Manny Machado, the defensively gifted Baltimore Orioles third baseman, doesn’t need to put in max effort on defense as he just lets the miraculous plays come to him.
In the top of the eighth inning with his team clinging to a comfortable seven-run lead, Machado fielded a tricky grounder off the bat of St. Louis Cardinals infielder Jedd Gyorko.
As we have come to expect from Machado, he makes the difficult play look routine and caps it off with an off-balance throw from deep into foul territory.
Perhaps most impressively, the throw was on a line and took no bounces to get to first base.
Just Manny being Manny.
