Watch: Lindor’s grand slam caps off Indians’ 5-run rally in 9th

Francisco Lindor more than atoned for an early error he committed with two swings in the late innings of Wednesday’s series finale against the Texas Rangers.

The Cleveland Indians shortstop blasted a grand slam in the ninth inning off Rangers closer Sam Dyson to give the visitors an eventual 9-6 win, and helped complete the three-game sweep.

Lindor’s blast was a 403-foot no-doubter down the right-field line which capped off a five-run rally in the final inning.

It was the second home run of the game for Lindor, who also went deep in the sixth off Cole Hamels for a solo shot.

The homers helped make up for a costly throwing error committed by Lindor in the fifth inning. With two outs and runners on first and second, Lindor overthrew his first baseman and allowed the Rangers to score a pair of runs, giving them a 4-3 lead at the time.
