Clayton Kershaw must really, really look forward to Independence Day.
After flirting with a no-hitter and tossing seven scoreless innings, the immensely talented Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander held his regular press conference, taking questions from reporters.
That’s when the kid in Kershaw was let out, as the 29-year-old bolted the room in order to catch the festivities going on outside of the stadium.
“Oh, I gotta go – fireworks! I love you guys,” Kershaw said.
The southpaw had good reason to relax, sit back, and enjoy the show as he picked up his 13th win of the year, striking out 11 on Tuesday.
