Dodger Stadium to host its 1st-ever Game 7

Game 7 of the World Series will mark a first for Dodger Stadium on Wednesday when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Houston Astros.

The stadium will host a World Series Game 7 for the first time in its history when the two juggernauts collide in what is expected to be an exhilarating final contest.

Considering Dodger Stadium, which opened April 10, 1962, is the third-oldest active ground in the big leagues, this is quite a remarkable anomaly.

This is the ninth Fall Classic to be hosted at Dodger Stadium. Los Angeles did win Game 7 of the 1965 World Series in seven games, but the series finale took place at Metropolitan Stadium against the Minnesota Twins.
