Watch: Mariners’ Zunino crushes monster walk-off HR

The Seattle Mariners appeared lost at sea after the Minnesota Twins plated four runs in the top of the fifth inning Wednesday. The Mariners had no choice but to chip away.

Catcher Mike Zunino came to the plate with a runner on and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Having already smoked a long ball in the third inning, it was up to him to come through again in the clutch.

He didn’t disappoint. The Mariners won 6-5, allowing them to reach .500 for the first time since May 10. They’re 9-1 in the last 10 games.

It would have only been a game-tying dinger, though, had outfielder Ben Gamel not singled in the at-bat immediately before.
