Watch: Dodgers’ Seager smacks 1st-ever walk-off hit to down Reds

With the game on the line, Corey Seager put the Los Angeles Dodgers on his back.

After consecutive singles by Yasiel Puig and Justin Turner put the former in scoring position in the bottom of the ninth, Seager came through in the clutch for the Dodgers, who were down to their last out in the inning. The 23-year-old sent a long fly to deep left field that fell just beyond the outstretched reach of Cincinnati Reds outfielder Scooter Gennett.

It turned out to mark an important moment in Seager’s career, as he told SportsNetLA’s Alanna Rizzo postgame that it was the first time he recorded a walk-off at any level of baseball.
